How To Recover From Google Panda And Google Penguin

Last week was a nightmare for some webmasters as it was the time for two major updates by Google Search. Google updated the data of Panda on 19th April and on 24th April they launched their new pet called Google Penguin. Google Penguin is the most loved update of Google Algorithm as it is against the web spam. So if you are not a web spammer you don’t need to worry about the new pet of Google. I am also against the web spam as these black hat SEO guys ranking their sites on the first page of Google without having any useful content. By the way if you site has been affected by the penguin and you feel that your site is not a spam then you can fill out this Google Penguin Form to inform Google that you are not a spammer and your site has been penalized by its new pet called penguin. Now lets talk about the people whose sites are affected by Google Panda and Google Penguin. In this post I am going to talk about some of the ways that will help webmasters to fight against the Google Panda and Penguin.

Tips to Fight against Google Panda And Google Penguin

Google Panda is about better user experience so you need to follow a lot of things in order to make your site user friendly. Google Penguin is only about web spam and if you are not a web spammer then you should not worry about Google Penguin but if still you are not spammer and your site has been penalized then you might have made some mistakes that lead Google algorithm to think that you are a spammer. You should follow these tips to avoid Google web spam algorithm.

Stop Keyword Stuffing

If you have the tendency to stuff your post with lots of keywords then you should avoid doing this now. I believe that a post should not contain more than 5 keywords. Some bloggers used to fill their post with more than 20 keywords. This way of stuffing keywords can lead Google algorithm to think that your blog is a spam so avoid using so many keywords in one post.

Write Quality Content

Content is the kind and Google Panda update has proved this. Google updated their algorithm in order to help quality content coming on top of the search engine rankings. When we talk about quality content it means that the content should be on the topic and it should give useful information on that topic and the length of the post should be at least 500 words.

Easy Navigation Website

Navigation is an essential part of any website. So you should concentrate on your site navigation to make it more user friendly and easy to access. I saw some websites with bad navigation placement and those sites have been affected by panda. I believe that having an easy navigation is the basic of website designing so you should always concentrate on making your website navigation more user friendly.

Build Active Social Media Profiles

Google has mentioned at the Google Plus launch that now social media will also play a role in search engine rankings of a website. The site that will get more shares on social networks will have more chances of getting high rankings in search engine. So I advice all the webmasters and bloggers to concentrate more on social networks specially Google Plus.

Remove Duplicate Content

Duplicate content is a major factor in Google Panda update. You can stop duplicate content by using a useful robots.txt file or by using Google Analytics. Duplicate content leads Google to think that your website is copying content from other websites so you should remove your duplicate posts from Google and in future you need to be careful about duplicate content.

Be Careful about External Links

Linking to bad websites will lead your website to a hit by Google Panda. Google Panda is strict about incoming and outgoing links. The outgoing links from your website should not lead to a website that is not of your niche and that is a bad quality website. The webmasters and bloggers who are selling links and doing paid reviews should be careful about choosing the topic of paid review and the website they are selling link to. Always keep in mind that external link should only go to the relevant website of your site niche.

These are some of the key factors that will help you to recover from Google Panda and Google Penguin. What are ways you follow in order to recover from Google Panda. Please do share in the comments section.

  2. I have taken a long hard look at the list on this post and compared it to my own SEO practices… they are not different yest my site was penalized. I really don’t understand why users have to share my content for it to be deemed useful. What if my content is in a niche that nobody wants to admit he’s interested in?
