10 Best PHP Frameworks

PHP is a widely used, general-purpose scripting language that was originally designed for web development to produce dynamic web pages. For this purpose, PHP code is embedded into the HTML source document and interpreted by a web server with a PHP processor module, which generates the web page document. Two of the most important (Cake and Symfony) missing…

  2. Trent says:

Judging by the number of articles on the “best PHP frameworks” that have been coming out lately, it seems like Symfony’s really dead.

  3. Jamie says:

How can you even call this an article? There’s no content. You just link to a bunch of logos without explaining why they’re on the list.

  4. Harsha M V says:

Have u heard of Cakephp ?

  5. RSK says:

    I think u left cakePHP

  6. Rich says:

Seconding the comments from Jamie and Alex – no content, just a link to logos – are you involved with these or something? Did you try them all? and what about the larger frameworks like CakePHP and Symfony as Alex said? Bad “article” – don’t bother again!

  7. Interesting, that’s useful, many thanks, bookmarked.

  8. dfsdf says:

Harsha shut up your sarcastic wanker. CakePHP has been proven time and time again to be slow as hell.

I strongly suggest Yii. It is at least worth checking out.

This is a good list except I would probably put symfony or CakePHP close to the top. There is a good top 3 of 10 here: http://newtop3.com/phpframeworks

  16. Lydia says:

Fat-Free Framework 2.0 has just been released. Packed with new exciting features, outstanding documentation and improved overall performance, the latest version of F3 still retains its lightweight footprint and remains true to its promise of being easy to use even for novices, yet stable and powerful enough to run high-traffic Web sites.

  17. Doni says:

you may try Panada Framework on http://panadaframework.com/

  18. Duncan says:

best for what?! There’s dozens of quality frameworks left off this list. Kohana, MODX, Pulse, FuelPHP, Slim, Melt, Laravel…

    This really is rubbish.

  19. ALI says:
