Logo Design is the most important and valuable area of designing. A Logo is the identity of a brand, so you have to keep in mind lots of things while creating a logo. Today in this article I am going to write about some of the basics of logo design to help the new logo designers. So the journey of step by step guide of logo design begins here :-
Identify The Product
Identifying the product is the first and basic step of Logo Design. When you are going to create a logo for a brand then you have to identify the features of that product so that your logo can be the perfect representative for that product.
Research
After identifying the product you will know about the features of the product. Now its the time to research about the product and the market that revolves around that product. You not only have to keep in mind that product but also you have to keep in mind all its competitors so that your product can match the standard that set by others.
Concept
A concept is a soul of design. You can never create any design without visualizing it in your mind. After completing the research for the product you will know about all the needs of that logo design then the time came to make a concept for the product. Surf the net, do some image search and after some searches and mixing your creative thoughts you will have a concept in your mind. I personally feel that if you can’t visualize any design then you can never make a design.
Sketching
If concept is the soul of a design then sketching is the skeleton for a design. I believe that you should always make some sketches of any design before creating the final design, so that you have different kind of options available to choose from.
Use The Right Program For Your Design
There are different types of programs available for designing but Adobe’s Photoshop and Illustrator are the hot favourite of designers. Photoshop is more popular that illustrator but illustrator has so many features those are essential for creative a logo design.
Test The Logo With Different Colors, Styles and Sizes
Last touch of a design is very important. After the completion of your design you can experiment with different colors, styles and sizes to know which one better suits the design.
I hope this guide will be helpful for all of you. Please share your thoughts and comments in the comments section.

It would depend on how you look at it and wherever you are coming from on the subject really. In the long run beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but Now i’m with you on this one.
This was short, sweet, and very helpful! Thanks.
I would never suggest using photoshop for a logo, illustrator every time. A pixel logo can’t be re-sized above its original dimensions, whereas a vector can be the size of a house if required with no loss of quality.
